This policy covers sternanchor.com. Our individual products (including PsycleBack and Yachtly) have their own privacy policies published at those product’s own websites; they govern data collected in-product.

3. Information We Collect on This Site

sternanchor.com is a small marketing site. We collect:

• Analytics data about how visitors use the site (see Section 4).
• Contact information you provide voluntarily, e.g. if you email us at [email protected].
• Basic request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamps) collected by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not run advertising on this site.

4. Cookies and Analytics

4.1 Cookies We Set Directly

• sa_theme — remembers your light/dark theme preference.
• sa_consent — remembers your cookie choice (see 4.3).

These are strictly necessary or preference cookies and do not identify you across sites.

4.2 Analytics — Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use sternanchor.com. When you consent to analytics cookies, GA4 sets cookies (including _ga and _ga_*) that identify your browser and help us aggregate page views, session duration, and traffic sources. Google processes this information on our behalf as a data processor; a truncated form of your IP address is used and is not stored by Google in a form that identifies you.

We implement Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics and advertising cookies are denied by default until you accept them via our cookie banner. Until you accept, Google Analytics receives only anonymous, cookieless “consent-mode” pings that cannot be used to identify or retarget you.

4.3 Consent Lifetime

Your cookie choice (accept or reject) is stored for one year. After that we’ll ask again on your next visit — this matches common GDPR / ePrivacy re-prompt guidance.

5. How We Use Information

We use information from this site to:

• Comply with legal obligations.

GA4 data is retained per our Google Analytics configuration (default: 2 months for user-level data). Email correspondence is retained as long as reasonably needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry.

9. International Transfers

We operate from the United States. If you access this site from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection rules than your country of residence.

10. Children

sternanchor.com is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
